A family tradition that writes the history of Czech numismatics
The family business AUREA Numismatika has been growing for more than 25 years — here are our milestones.
The company's founder is a dedicated numismatist who has worked in the field for over 30 years.
He was a keen collector from a young age, and in time that interest turned into a successful business.
Over those more than twenty years we have set a number of auction records — many of them cited in the specialist literature.
Roman Veselý holds the first specialised numismatic auction in the Czech Republic, laying the foundations of AUREA Numismatika.
A small circulation coin of 1924 breaks the historical price record.
The St Wenceslas two-ducat equals the Czech record.
The iconic small coin sells for 506,000 CZK.
The most expensive coin at a Czech auction of its time.
We launch our online platforms — to date more than 40 eAuctions have been held.
We extend the range to bullion coins and collecting accessories.
A unique piece of 1597 finds a new owner.
We withdraw the disputed rector's chain of the Prague University of Economics (VŠE) from auction, upholding our principle: we do not sell stolen goods.
A new Czech numismatic record is set.
We open a modern shop on Ostrovského street and a new auction hall at OREA Hotel Angelo.
A complete rebuild of the website. The aim: intuitive navigation, easy searching, room for newcomers to ask questions. Big things don't happen overnight; we proceed slowly and deliberately.
This year we drew the attention of the Czech media on several occasions. Among our favourites is a feature by TV Prima.
