To provide our services, sell goods and operate our website, we process certain personal data.
The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”).
1. Processing of Personal Data
A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form
If you enquire about our products and services, we will work with the contact details you provide, mainly via the enquiry form. These are: first name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail.
For what reason?
We contact you through them for further arrangements regarding the sale of goods and services.
On what legal basis?
This is processing on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiation of a contract, or taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
How long will we process the personal data?
If we do not establish further cooperation, we will process your data for a maximum of 1 year from our last communication.
B. Processing of personal data in the case of a purchase
If you make a purchase from us, we will work with the data you fill in. These are mainly billing details: first name, surname, address, telephone, e-mail, etc.
For what reason?
We need to process personal data in order to fulfil our contract – to deliver our goods or services to you. Through the contact details we will also communicate with you regarding the status of your order, or regarding complaints or your queries.
We will further process personal data to fulfil our obligations arising from the law (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling complaints and others).
On what legal basis do we process the personal data?
This is processing on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract – and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – fulfilment of our legal obligation.
How long will we process the personal data?
For the duration of providing our service and then 10 years from the last provision of such a service or delivery of goods.
C. Newsletters (commercial communications)
If you are a purchasing customer and have not prohibited us from doing so at the time of purchase, we will use your e-mail address to send our news.
On what legal basis?
This is permitted by Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information-society services, unless you prohibited us from doing so at the time of purchase.
How long will we process the personal data?
10 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe from the mailing at any time by e-mail or contact us at: info@aurea.cz.
D. Client identification and verification under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML)
As an auction house, we are an obliged entity under Act No. 253/2008 Coll. Before accepting a bid, or before concluding a transaction above the limit set by law, we carry out client identification and retain the relevant documents. We process in particular: first name and surname, date of birth, birth (personal identification) number, address, type and number of the identity document.
For what reason?
This is to fulfil our statutory obligation of client identification and verification. Without identification we cannot admit you to the auction or conclude a purchase contract with you.
On what legal basis?
This is processing on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – fulfilment of our legal obligation under Act No. 253/2008 Coll., on certain measures against the legalisation of proceeds of crime and the financing of terrorism.
How long will we process the personal data?
10 years from the end of the calendar month in which the last act of the transaction took place (Section 16 of Act No. 253/2008 Coll.).
2. Who Gets Access to the Data?
Your data stays with us. Nevertheless, certain companies or other persons work for us and gain access to the data because they help us run our e-shop. They are:
- the operator of the Shoptet e-shop platform (Shoptet a.s., with registered office at Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00 Prague 6, Company ID 289 35 675, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, section B, file 25 395)
- companies involved in dispatching goods (Česká pošta s.p., Zásilkovna a.s.)
- companies involved in processing payments (FIO banka, a.s.)
- the e-mailing service provider (Forpsi webmail)
- possibly companies that help us with marketing
We process personal data only within the territory of the European Union.
3. What Else You Should Know
In our company we have not appointed a data protection officer.
In our company there is no decision-making based on automated processing or profiling.

5. Your Rights Regarding the Processing of Personal Data
Among other things, the GDPR gives you the right to contact us and request information about what personal data of yours we process, to request access to this data from us and have it updated or corrected, or to request restriction of processing; you may request a copy of the processed personal data, request that we erase personal data in certain situations, and in certain cases you have the right to its portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
If you think we do not handle the data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection, or to bring your claims before a court.
These terms are effective from 1 January 2026.
