Terms and Conditions
Effective from 1 January 2026
1. Seller and Their Scope of Authority
Seller:
AUREA Numismatika a.s.
Ostrovského 1332/4, 150 00 Prague 5, Czech Republic
Company ID: 04447646, VAT ID: CZ04447646
These terms and conditions govern the sale of goods outside of auctions (public sales). All matters relating to auctions are governed by the separate Auction Rules, available on the company website. The legal relationship between the seller and the buyer is governed by these terms and conditions and the generally binding legal regulations of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. By submitting an order, the buyer confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
3. Price of Goods and Payment
- Prices of goods are quoted inclusive of all taxes and fees (including VAT) and exclusive of any shipping costs.
- Any additional fees (e.g. postage, courier service) are calculated during the ordering process and the buyer can see them before binding confirmation of the order.
- The buyer may choose from the offered payment methods (advance bank transfer, cash on delivery, cash payment on personal collection, etc.).
- Payment for the goods is made in CZK unless stated otherwise. For cashless payments the purchase price is due before delivery of the goods, unless the seller and buyer agree otherwise.
4. Delivery of Goods
- The place of delivery is the address provided by the buyer during registration or in the order.
- The seller arranges delivery by the method chosen by the buyer (postal shipment, courier, personal collection, etc.).
- The goods are dispatched as soon as possible after order confirmation, usually within a few working days, but no later than 30 days, unless a longer period is agreed with the buyer.
- Upon receiving the shipment the buyer must check the packaging and immediately report any defects or damage to the carrier. If the buyer fails to take over the shipment without a serious reason, the seller may demand reimbursement of the incurred costs and possibly withdraw from the contract.
5. Quality of Goods and Description
- All modern coins and medals sold (including high-quality proof or standard quality) are in perfect condition. Any minor defects are explicitly stated in the description.
- For older coins and medals the condition is presented with photographs, and less visible defects (e.g. edge knocks, traces of a suspension loop, etc.) are mentioned in the description. Wear corresponding to age need not be stated.
- Photographs of the goods are authentic and correspond to the actual condition of the offered item unless stated otherwise. For modern identical items an illustrative photograph may be used, which will be explicitly stated in the description.
- All displayed photographs are the property of the seller and their further commercial use without consent is not permitted, except for private purposes (e.g. documentation, appendix to academic work — such use requires stating the full store address www.aurea.cz).
6. Ownership Rights and Withdrawal from the Contract
- Ownership of the goods passes to the buyer upon full payment of the purchase price.
- The buyer undertakes to take over the ordered goods and duly pay the agreed price, including any postage or shipping costs.
- If the buyer is a consumer and the purchase contract was concluded by distance means, withdrawal is governed by Section 1829 of the Civil Code. However, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to goods whose price depends on fluctuations of the financial market (e.g. precious metals, investment commodities).
- In the event of withdrawal by the consumer, the seller refunds the paid purchase price no later than 14 days from receipt of the written withdrawal and of the goods together with it.
7. Complaints and Warranty
- We provide a guarantee of authenticity for all goods sold.
- The buyer rights from defective performance are governed by the Civil Code. For used collectible items the statutory period for claiming defects is shortened to 12 months.
- The buyer may file a complaint in person at the store or in writing/by email. The seller handles the complaint no later than 30 days, unless a longer period is agreed with the buyer.
- In the case of a justified complaint, the seller ensures remediation by repair, exchange of the goods, or a refund.
8. Electronic Registration of Sales (ERS)
- The seller is obliged to issue a receipt to the buyer and register the received payment with the tax administrator online.
- In the event of a technical failure, registration is carried out within 48 hours at the latest.
- The receipt is sent to the buyer electronically at the email address provided in the order.
9. Personal Data Protection
- The protection and processing of buyers personal data is governed by the separate Personal Data Protection Terms (available on the seller website).
- All personal data provided by the buyer is collected and processed solely for processing orders, communication, fulfilling contractual obligations, and sending information related to the goods or services.
- Information provided by the buyer is protected against misuse, is not provided to third parties (except where necessary to deliver the ordered goods), and is processed in accordance with the relevant personal-data-protection legislation.
11. Pricing Errors and Technical Errors
- The seller reserves the right to cancel an order or withdraw from the purchase contract if the price stated for the goods was clearly set incorrectly, does not correspond to the usual market price, or arose due to a technical error (for example a system bug or incorrect currency conversion).
- In such a case the seller promptly informs the buyer of the cancellation and refunds any payments made in the same way they were received, no later than 14 days from the notice of cancellation.
12. Final Provisions
- These terms and conditions are an integral part of the purchase contract between the seller and the buyer.
- Should any provision be found invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Matters not expressly regulated by these terms and conditions are governed by the relevant legislation of the Czech Republic.
- Supervision of compliance with obligations under the Consumer Protection Act is carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz). In the event of a dispute, buyers may contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority with a proposal for out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute.
- The seller can be contacted for any complaints or inquiries via the email address provided on the website or in writing to the postal address of the company registered office.
These terms and conditions become valid and effective on the day of their publication on the company website.
