In 1993, after the establishment of the independent Czech state, it was necessary to mint Czech coins for circulation in large quantities.
The standard 10 Kč coin was minted this year in a quantity of 69,997,359 pcs (source: CNB). The rare 10 Kč was struck as a purpose-made striking (trial strike) in a quantity of 1,000 pcs, and this coin "accidentally" entered circulation.
It is likely that you will find a 10 Kč coin from 1993 in your wallet, as it is one of the most common ten-crown coins. However, finding the rare one is about as likely as winning the jackpot in the lottery.
The rare 10 crown coin can be recognized by the size of the letters "Kč", which are significantly smaller than on the common one. This is noticeable at a glance (see the attached image).
